New Leadership Training, on Monday, is required for new program coordinators and is also a good refresher for current program leadership including board members.
The Partnership Meeting, on Tuesday, will feature keynote speaker, Shane Lopez, Gallup Senior Researcher, speaking on findings from his new book “Making Hope Happen”.
Shane J. Lopez, Ph.D., author of Making Hope Happen, is the world’s leading researcher on hope. His mission is to teach people that investing in their future pays off today. Dr. Lopez is also one of the most vocal advocates of the psychological reform of America’s education system. He helps schools function less like impersonal factories and more like dynamic human development centers that enable students to achieve the meaningful futures they say they really want, including a good job and a happy family.
Dr. Lopez is a Gallup Senior Scientist and Research Director of the Clifton Strengths Institute. He is chief architect of the Gallup Student Poll, a measure of hope, engagement, and wellbeing that taps into the hearts and minds of U.S. public school students to determine what drives achievement. It is available at no cost to public schools or districts interested in using it to start a hope conversation in their community. More than 1 million students have participated since its inception.

Parking Information: Please park in the garage connected to the Holiday Day Inn. If you are booking a room at the Holiday Inn, your parking should be comped at check-in. If you are NOT staying at the hotel there is a $5/day parking charge that TeamMates will cover. Please hang on to your ticket and bring it in for validation. If you lose your parking ticket we will not be able to validate it for you.
Hotel Information: We have a block of rooms reserved at the Holiday Inn Downtown at the rate of $92/night. To reserve your hotel room, please call 402-475-4011 and let them know you are with the TeamMates Partnership Meeting. The group rate will expire and rooms will be released to the public on July 15th. In order to obtain the group rate and guarentee a room, please book by that date.

In addition, we will be hosting a TeamMates HELP Desk. TeamMates staff with specialization in the areas of fundraising, treasurer roles and banking, and Civicore data will be on hand to answer specific questions you might have.
